Registration Closes for Participation in the 2026 Amman International Book Fair

The President of the Jordanian Publishers Association and Director of the Amman International Book Fair, Jabr Abu Faris, announced the closure of registration for participation in the fair’s 25th edition, which is held under the Royal Patronage.

The Amman International Book Fair is scheduled to take place from September 24 to October 3, 2026, at the Jordan International Exhibition Center at Mecca Mall.

In a press statement, Abu Faris said that nearly 733 applications had been received to participate in the fair, adding that the technical committee had begun reviewing and screening the applications. Approvals will be sent to publishing houses in the coming days.

He noted that the strong turnout for participation, despite the challenging circumstances facing the region, which have led to the postponement of several book fairs, reflects publishing houses’ interest in and confidence in Jordan’s standing and the stable environment it offers.

He also emphasized that the strong participation reaffirms the fair’s growing stature, noting that it has become a fixture on the Arab and international book-fair calendar and one of the region’s most prominent cultural events dedicated to the publishing industry.

Earlier, the Jordanian Publishers Association announced that Iraq would be the Guest of Honor at the 25th edition of the Amman International Book Fair 2026.

The special designation celebrates the depth of the longstanding cultural ties between the two brotherly countries and seeks to strengthen bridges of communication across various fields through a distinctive cultural program and high-quality participation expected to make a meaningful impact on the local and Arab cultural scene.
